The children in Mrs. Johnson’s Class 5 thoroughly enjoyed their LANDshapes Oral History project and sent us a special card to tell us!
Many of them signed the card and added their own special messages. They want LANDshapes to come back and work with them again.
The children worked hard preparing their questions about the area surrounding their school and Swadlincote over the past fifty years.
Their questions were answered by three guests, one of whom was the grandmother of one of the pupils. The session was recorded and a CD has been made for the school to keep.
The children were also asked to draw a picture of their favourite place within the National Forest and you can see their efforts in the gallery links above
