Bagworth Forward Group began in August 2001. We now have a committee of 14 members who all work hard to improve life in the village. We meet at the Bagworth Community Centre on alternate Thursdays at 7.30 p.m. |
Bagworth Historical Society formed on 16th October 2001. We have over 30 members, with usually 12 to 20 members attending any one meeting.
We are currently researching information for our 4th booklet called A Village History. It will include chapters on The Village, The Churches, The Farms, The Public Houses, The Bier House and The Shops. Many of these buildings we have lost through subsidence damage. |

The society formed 30 years ago in 1974. Our main aims are to protect the environment, architecture and fabric of the village. The work and activities of the civic society educate and entertain members of the local community. We produce an occasional newsletter. |
The group of Charley residents formed in February 1999 to produce a Parish Map and Booklet for the Millennium. All wished to create a record of this beautiful part of Leicestershire. The group has continued to explore the heritage of the area. |

CPET is a registered charity and was formed in 1993 to promote and preserve, for the benefit of the public, the nineteenth century Claymills Pumping Station complex including all buildings, engines and equipment situated on the site. |
The society was formed in 1982 and we have a constitution. Our main interests are in Desford as a former coal mining area and in framework knitting. |

The group formed in 2001 to promote interest and awareness of the history of the Parish of Oakthorpe, Donisthorpe and Acresford. The area was mentioned in Domesday Book but little is known about the village until records were kept during the 17th century. |
Formed in 1982 East Staffs Heritage Trust works to preserve the built heritage of east Staffordshire. We are concerned with fostering & promoting the preservation of English architectural heritage that exists in East Staffordshire in the form of buildings and other features of particular beauty, architectural or constructional interest. |

Eureka Park is the central park of Swadlincote and has been established for many years. It does not currently reflect its past glory and the vision of the group is to work, in partnership with South Derbyshire District Council, to improve the facilities for the benefit of all users. |
The group formed from an evening class, which ran in 1988. Interest remained and has grown over the last 16 years. We are mainly concerned with preserving photographs and documents relating to Measham and its immediate surrounds. We work closely with Measham Museum creating exhibitions, which go on display in the Museum. |

Melbourne Historical Research Group formed in 2000. We mainly confine our heritage interests to the parish of Melbourne and the former parish of Derby Hills (now shared between Melbourne and Ticknall). |
The Nanpantan Victorian Garden group formed in January 2004. We have practical Volunteer Days every week and the History Group meets every other month. There are currently 30 members and new members are always welcome. We produce a quarterly newsletter and the group has a constitution. |

Ratby Local History Group formed in December 2000 and have approximately 50 members. Their interests are wide and varied, covering many aspects of the history and heritage of Ratby. The group produces a newsletter every two months and has a constituion. |
Repton Village History Group was formed in 1980 as a private research group and their interests lie in the history of Repton and surrounding villages. The group currently has 35 members and produces a monthly newsletter which is issued at meetings. Group members include those with the skills to transcribe documents and prodcuce publications of their work - the group encourages members to undertake further research. |

Witan Archaeology was formed in 1997 and their interests lie in all aspects of archaeology and local history in North West Leicestershire and surrounding districts. Current projects include Place-Name research for the Landshapes project and a field walking survey of National Forest tender schemes in Swepstone and Heather.
