11th October 2005

A meeting took place in Miss Biddle’s art room. She told us there was an exciting opportunity for us to work on a project called ‘True Noon’. Looking at the brief we discussed how True Noon was about LANDshapes, silhouettes, the moon and how it looks at 12.10 at night, and we also looked at the artist David Nash.
For homework we were asked to brainstorm ‘true noon’ and gather visual resources from the internet and books for our next meeting.

A meeting took place where all 13 students showed what resources they had gathered and talked about their thoughts and ideas about the project with the group.
A number of people have decided to do paintings, but a couple of people are making 3-d imagery using wood and clay, focusing on the shape of silhouettes in darkness and the way the moon lights up the area. All ideas sounded really good.
